The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health and Safety is an internationally recognised qualification that will provide you with a broad understanding of key health and safety issues. The IGC is NEBOSH most popular qualification worldwide and is highly regarded amongst employers over the Globe.
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is widely respected by employers worldwide and meets the requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and Associate Membership of IIRSM (AIIRSM).
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is a qualification designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities (e.g. managers, supervisors and employee representatives) to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions.
The IGC syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international standards, such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) codes of practice.
The 10-day course divided into 3 units,
- IGC1 – Management of international health and safety [Days 1-5]
- GC2 – Control of international workplace hazards [Days 6-9]
- GC3 – International health and safety practical application [Day 10]
There will be 2 hour written examinations for IGC1 and GC2 and 2 hour practical assessment test for GC3, which will be conducted in a workplace within two weeks of appearing in the final NEBOSH exam. The practical element will be assessed by Green World Group, which will be moderated externally by NEBOSH.
